Well another year has come and gone, it seems that time flies so fast now. 2010 has been a great year for this family.
We started out the new year by attending the Zoppe Circus. BreeAnna had been selected to dress as a clown and join into the act. It was a great experience for her and we appreciate the Zoppe’s Family hospitality.
In March, Michael was chosen to take a leadership role at work in an effort to turn things around there, as Director of Installed Services. There have been a lot of exciting challenges and very long hours, but as usual, everything he touches eventually turns out great. Mike is excited about his future at PSAV and very much looking forward to taking it to the next level in 2011.
For Spring Break we headed North to Snowbowl where Elise took all day lessons and learned how to Ski. BreeAnna took lessons on the snowboard and was shredding up the hill by the end of the day. Michael realized just how old he is when he couldn’t keep up with the teens in the Jump/Trick area. Funniest of all was Kathy all decked out with skis, boots, clothes, lift ticket, everything… but she never went up or down the hill, ending up being content watching Elise puttering around.
Elise is flourishing in 2nd grade and has also gotten involved in lots of childrens Church activities. BreeAnna is in her first year of Junior High as a 7th grader this year and attended her first Dance at school and was just thrilled.
Tyler graduated Chandler High School in June and everyone was so proud of his accomplishment. He attended Prom as well with a nice girl from school and looked quite handsome all dressed up in the tuxedo. He continues to stay at his mothers as he contemplates getting involved with community college in the Spring semester of 2011.
In June Kathy flew to Florida to join Michael after a business trip, rented a new mustang convertible, and got a room at Daytona Beach. Of course, we toured the speedway, where Michael got to take hot laps with a driver in a Richard Petty Driving Experience Stock Car. Flying around the high banks of Daytona was like a dream come true and turned out to be a fantastic life experience. Later we toured NASA and really enjoyed our time there as well.
This year also marks a time our family found fishing and camping. The girls both caught thier first fish this summer while Mike continues to struggle to learn the art of fishing. We also finally retired Mike’s old car, and got a very nice 2007 Ford Expedition. It got broken in quite well as we toured all of the lakes along the Mogillon Rim. Kathy’s parents purchased a small house in Payson, so we have found ourselves heading to the mountains more than ever this year.
We enjoyed the NASCAR races this year at Phoenix. In November, Bree and Mike got to meet Michael Waltrip. On Sunday, we had a larger group than normal as Hugo and Brooke joined us on Rattlesnake hill. Kathy has been busy scheming a way for us to get a camper so we can take it to the next level in 2011.
We hope your 2010 was as great as ours, and hope your 2011 is just as great. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from our family to yours,
Mike & Kathy
Tyler, BreeAnna, & Elise
